Peter
Drescher:  State of the State

 

   Peter talked briefly about hos
role.  He talked about the Vermont
Transformation document.  He felt
it has a good chance to bring about change.  He talked briefly about how it related to technology.

   He also talked about the LNV.  Really trying to push it while support
is still here.  Open to elementary
schools as well as middle and high schools.  Watch for an announcement of an incentive program happening
soon.  He also talked about the
Microsoft settlement, VTcite and the LEAT-IT project.

 

Vermont
Technology Grade Expectations: Past, Present, & Future –

                                 Discussion
& Activities

 

The
group did an activity around the future of the Vermont IT Grade
Expectations.  They considered the
benefits and drawbacks of three scenarios:  do away with them, keep them as they are, revise (refresh)
them.  After the activity they
voted 9 to revise, 1 to leave as they are.

   Ed gave a brief update on
VTcite.  He gave a quick background
and progress report.  He talked
about Dynamic Landscapes.  Registration
is open and information is available at the site.  Ed also talked about the Open Source Conference
