Group Meeting in Second Life Feb 5th

Our Second Life group will have a meeting at the VITA-Learn SL Headquarters at 8 PM on Tuesday Feb 5th. We will be solidifying membership in our group at this meeting. See you there! David Wells a.k.a. Lupin Writer

Missed It!

hi David ... just as I went to bed last night, I remembered that I totally forgot about the Second Life meeting last night.  I'm so sorry.  I was teaching a class until 7:00 p.m. and did not get home til 7:30 p.m.  I had remembered about it earlier in the evening, but once I got home, I just went into routine mode I guess and it totally slipped my mind.  Can you tell me how it went and what your next steps are?

Best, Sandy

Hey David ...  are you

Hey David ...  are you interested in additional people joining your second life group?  I could suggest it in a class I'm teaching.  Best, Sandy

Second Life

Hi Sandy,

Yes, we would welcome new members.  We will hold our next virtual meeting on March 4th at 8PM.  Folks would need to sign up for a Second Life account in advance, which is free.  They can e-mail me their avatar name (dwells@ccsuvt.org) and then, if they are in Second Life on the night of our meeting, I can send them a message that will "teleport" them right to our meeting.  If people have a headset for their computer they can speak to and hear others during our meeting.

Thanks,

David, a.k.a. Lupin Writer

Hi Dave .. ok ... I'll try

Hi Dave .. ok ... I'll try to make it.  We actually have class that night until 7:00 p.m. and I'll need to get home by 8 p.m.  to be there ... I have let my class know about the opportunity, so perhaps you'll hear from a couple of people.   I'm looking forward to this!

Best, Sandy

That would be great.  You

That would be great.  You would want to join Second Life a few days before you go to the meeting.   This would let you set up your avitar.  If you want someplace to go in SL, search for ISTE under places in the search tool.  There often is someone there to help you.

See you "in-life!"
